Pastors Dick and Beth Button began to pastor Beach Family Worship Center in June of 2001.  They began serving the Lord in 1996 soon becoming Youth Pastors at Living Faith Church in Myrtle Beach, SC.  It was during that time that they successfully graduated the “Two-Year Accelerated Leadership” Bible College.  Pastor Dick also earned the “1999 Excellence in Ministry” award from Living Faith Church.  They were ordained by Faith Christian Church in Clovis, NM in 2000. 

Pastor Dick, originally from Tennessee, met and married Pastor Beth from Georgetown, SC in May of 1986.  They raised 2 daughters and now have 5 grandchildren.  They have had the privilege of ministering in Israel four times with Operation Restoration, three times in Benin City, Nigeria and this past year in Johannesburg, South Africa.  

Pastor Dick has a special heart for evangelism intertwined with discipleship and has a powerful gift to preach the Word.  He’s described by his congregation as a man who “speaks truth” and “doesn’t water down the Word of God.”  They also admire his ability to encourage people when they are at their lowest point. 

Pastor Beth has a special heart for single mothers and heads up the “Women with a Mission” ministry at Beach Family.  She also heads up the Deliverance ministry, the only one of its kind in this entire area.  Members often refer to her as “Mama” because of her swiftness in running to someone’s aid when they are hurting and need help.
